Get in game

Download

Two things to install: a Lineage II Interlude client, then the L2 Balance patch on top of it.

Step 1

Interlude client

The full Lineage II Interlude (C6) game client, about 2 GB. Any clean Interlude client works: the patch replaces the files that matter.

The client download link is not set yet. Ask a GM for the client.

Step 2

L2 Balance patch

Our system files: the server address, the program without GameGuard, the names, icons and animations of the new skills and items. Reinstall it after every patch update.

The patch is not available right now.

Windows

Install

  1. Install or unpack the client

Put it in a folder you can write to, for example C:\Games\Lineage2 (not Program Files). The game folder is the one holding system.

  2. Extract the patch into the game folder

Close the game, then extract l2balance-patch.zip into the game folder and replace the existing files. Explorer's "Extract all" may skip existing files; 7-Zip or tar overwrite them:

    tar -xf "%USERPROFILE%\Downloads\l2balance-patch.zip" -C "C:\Games\Lineage2"
  3. Create a game account

Sign up on this site, then create a game account on your account page. Game logins look like abcname: your 3-letter prefix plus the name you pick.

  4. Start the game

Run system\l2.exe and log in with your game account. The patch already points the client to the server at 192.168.1.139 (local network only).

Playing on a Mac

The Windows client runs on a Mac through Wine. It needs an unpacked engine.dll and leaves out the rebuilt icon file, so ask a GM for the Mac setup instead of using this patch as is.
